Truth, Justice and the Kevin Jefferies Way!

Kevin Jefferies, the CAC's 2023 Referee Award winner, both wrestled and refereed before ending up in the WWF as an adjudicator in the 1980's. The CAC's referee award, named after wrestling veteran Charlie Smith, is presented to a referee who has shown his/her professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm for the sport. Jefferies, who has been a referee for over 40 years, has earned the respect of wrestlers, promoters and fans alike for his dedication to his craft and his commitment to maintaining the integrity of the matches he oversees.

Throughout his career, Jefferies has been known for his quick thinking, his attention to detail, and his unwavering commitment to fairness. He has refereed matches for British Columbia based All Star Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and other organizations.  Kevin has played a crucial role in ensuring that the action in the ring is always safe, fair and on track. The Charlie Smith Referee Award is a fitting recognition of Jefferies' contributions to the sport and is a testament to the impact he has had on the goings on inside the ropes of the matches he has officiated, including being the third man in the ring during a Hulk Hogan vs. King Kong Bundy match on a nationally broadcast "Saturday Night's Main Event".
