CAC Radio #99 - Bill Apter's Career Deserves Special Recognition

Welcome to the latest edition of CAC Radio! On this edition, David Buckler welcomes legendary wrestling photographer, journalist, and reporter Bill Apter to the podcast.  Throughout his career, Bill helped document the stars, stories, and moments that shaped the industry.  He will be honored next week when he receives the 2026 Art Abrams Lifetime Achievement Award at the 60th Reunion in Las Vegas!

The Art Abrams Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals whose contributions have helped shape, elevate, and preserve professional wrestling. Bill certainly represents that standard.  For generations of wrestling fans, he was more than a reporter.  Bill was, and still is, one of the voices, faces, and storytellers who helped bring professional wrestling into homes around the world.

Bill shares with David how he fell in love with pro wrestling, how he was able to become a respected voice in the industry, friendships he made along the way, working on the PWI 500, adapting to changes in technology, staying involved with the current product, his appreciation of this 2026 CAC honor, and much more. 

Bill did "not" reveal who will be his presenter when he receives his 2026 Art Abrams Lifetime Achievement Award, so we will have to wait a little longer for that!

It was just announced that Bill will be presenting a seminar during the reunion celebrating the Funk family legacy entitled "Funk Forever".  Make plans to join that special event on Wednesday August 26, 2026!
