CAC well represented at Tropicana Field in Tampa

The atmosphere in Tampa, Florida, was charged with excitement on Saturday January 27. 2024 as members of the wrestling world descended upon Tropicana Field for the 37th annual edition of the WWE Royal Rumble. Among the sea of wrestling fans were some distinguished members and honorees of the Cauliflower Alley Club (CAC).

President B. Brian Blair, led the charge of CAC lifers and honorees which, among others, included Diamond Dallas Page, Dory Funk Jr., Gerald Brisco, Steve Keirn, Booker T and the CAC's "man on the ground" in Vegas, annual member, Jay Arasate.

As the Royal Rumble unfolded, the CAC members basked in the electrifying energy of the crowd. The announced attendance of over 48,000 shattered the Tropicana Field record, a feat previously held by the New Kids on the Block boy band. The Cauliflower Alley Club, with its illustrious members, realized the profound impact that wrestling had on the lives of so many.

Gerald Brisco, with his keen eye for talent, watched todays' superstars in action, appreciating the evolution of the sport. Dory Funk Jr. exchanged knowing nods with his fellow CAC members, acknowledging the shared journey they had undertaken. Steve Keirn, who had seen the industry go through various transformations, couldn't help but marvel at the spectacle before him.

Booker T, in his element, encouraged the up-and-coming talents to seize the moment and make their mark. Diamond Dallas Page, with his trademark enthusiasm, relished the athleticism on display. President B. Brian Blair embodied the spirit of the club, a living testament to the passion that fueled the world of professional wrestling.

As the Royal Rumble reached its climax, the CAC members stood united, applauding the athletes who had given their all in the ring. The legacy of the Cauliflower Alley Club, represented by these wrestling icons, continued to shine brightly. The night was not just about breaking attendance records but also about celebrating the timeless bond that united wrestling enthusiasts across generations.

The CAC would like to thank Paul "Triple H" Levesque and World Wrestling Entertainment for their hospitality at an event that President Blair described as, "absolutely awesome...(with) electricity in the air!" and wish WWE and professional wrestling in general, great prosperity, awesome houses, record setting gates and the finest up and coming athletes available as the sport navigates into, what we hope, will be a very bright future.

If last night's atmosphere, hard work, dedication, passion and appreciation are any indication, the prospect of a "very bright future" not only looks to be a certainty but, a definite lock for many, many years to come.
