"To Hell and Back; The Sam Houston Story"
Presenter: Sam Houston w/ Jim Valley Date and Time: Tuesday Sept. 27, 2022 @ 1 PM Place: Boulder Room A
Michael "Sam' Houston has pretty much done it all in the pro-wrestling business. Born into a wrestling family that included his father Grizzly Smith, his half-brother Jake "The Snake" Roberts and sister, former WWE women's champion Rockin' Robin, Sam got indoctrinated into the 'ways of the biz" at an early age and worked territories that included Florida Championship Wrestling, Crockett Promotions, the World Wrestling Federation, Maple Leaf Wrestling, the Central States territory and Bill Watt's UWF.
Michael "Sam" Houston has pretty much done it all in life too.
He's died on an operating table. He's married, divorced and fathered children, one of whom, Mikayla, is starting to make her own mark inside of the professional wrestling ring. He's been an alcoholic. He's been pursued by cannibals. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and has attempted suicide.
Although he, at one time, hit ' rock bottom', Michael "Sam" Houston has been a survivor! A regular at the annual Cauliflower Alley Club reunions Sam always has a big smile, a word of advice and a welcoming disposition to all he meets.
Today, Sam is comfortable with his life. He is grateful to have survived and feels blessed to be able to help others... both humans and animals.
At this year's Cauliflower Alley Club reunion Sam, in a chat with CAC radio co-host Jim Valley, will take to the Learning Series podium and discuss his life story and the hard lessons and realities he has learned along the way. Hoping his story will steer others away from making the same mistakes that so many within the business have been known to make.
Sam's Learning Series lecture will, no doubt, be one of the hardest hitting, emotional and important Learning Series lectures we have ever presented.
Make your plans now to join us in Boulder Room A on Tuesday Sept. 27 @ 1 PM when Sam Houston and Jim Valley take us on the road "to hell and back" where there will be lessons learned for all.
Please remember that all Learning Series events are not to be taped or recorded without the expressed written consent of the Cauliflower Alley Club and that all attendees must have a reunion/banquet lanyard clearly displayed while in the event room.
