Dear CAC members and friends,
This is being sent with a very heavy heart.
Mr. Dean Silverstone, our Secretary/Treasurer of the Cauliflower Alley Club, passed on March 26, 2020.
“Uncle” Dean, as a few of us affectionately referred to him as, was a lifetime member of the CAC and an Executive Board member for almost 30 years. Dean worked tirelessly and devoted much of his time and passion to assist those from the wrestling industry that have fallen on difficult times. Dean’s love and passion for the CAC was immense and he will be sadly missed. His columns in our newsletter, The Ear, were always informative and entertaining, words alone could never describe what he meant to us personally and professionally. Dean loved his two dogs, the CAC, and the people that were a part of our great organization. There will be no services per his request. Both his family, as well as our board members, would simply want you that knew Dean, to share a note on the Cauliflower Alley Club Facebook page, in remembrance of this wonderful human being.
Even though we are an all-volunteer organization, business will still go on as usual during this deep time of mourning, in light of the passing of such an important friend and servant to the CAC. Our reunion dates that were postponed until September 21–23 are still set in place. Please allow us a little extra time to process memberships and financial transactions, while we all struggle to get past the Covid-19 virus, as well as this tragic situation. Please rest assured that we will all get back to normal in a reasonable amount of time. Your continued support of the CAC is greatly appreciated, as we are assisting many people from the wrestling industry at this time as well.
May Dean Silverstone be in a better place and we wish you and yours great health.
B. Brian Blair
