Dear Valued CAC member,
In recent weeks you may have heard or read about the passing of our beloved Secretary/Treasurer, Mr. Dean Silverstone. Dean, who I affectionately referred to as “Uncle” Dean, who passed away on the 25th of March at his home in Issaquah, WA, from a diabetic Coma…Uncle Dean will be sadly missed. Dean was a Lifetime member of the CAC and started working with our club, over 27 years ago…he worked tirelessly!
As far as CAC business goes, we our very fortunate to have some tremendous volunteers that will step up and do their very best to fill the shoes of a very special man. As a matter of fact, Darlene Kreis had been working with Dean for over a year, as Dean was grooming Darlene to take his position, in order to lessen his workload. Darlene was also voted unanimously to serve on the Executive Board of the CAC. I’m sure that you will find Darlene to be kind and easy to work with; we are certainly grateful to have her aboard the CAC TEAM!
I would also like to introduce to you, some of our new volunteer staff members, that have committed their time and talents to enhance your CAC experience and we are very fortunate to have these talented people dedicate their time to our club. Please welcome to our “Associate Board,” the following individuals:
Shawn Colonna will serve in our “Member Relations” capacity. Shawn is a Tech savvy ardent supporter of the CAC. We affectionately refer to Shawn as “Preacher”. Barbara Goodish will also be working as our “Registrar”. Barbara’s deceased husband Frank was a tremendous friend to me, as well as many of you I’m sure. Rich Ingling will serve as our Secretary and has been busy getting everyone’s name tags ready for the 55th reunion in September. Rich is one of the most sought-after people in the “Risk management” sector of the Gaming industry in Las Vegas. Rich and his wife Cindy recently moved back to Florida to enjoy their semi-retirement.
To see our entire volunteer staff, pleased check out our website at www.caulifloweralleyclub.org. I cannot tell you how valuable and appreciated all our CAC volunteers are. For a complete list of our staff, please see our website.
As you our all aware of by now, the 55th reunion has been moved to September, with the official days being September 21st-23rd and discount room rates available at the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino from September 20th-24th.
Please keep Dean Silverstone and family in your thoughts and prayers, stay healthy and we look forward to seeing you in Vegas this September.
