Mid-South wrestling legend Buck Robley passes away

Source: Gerweck.net

Pro wrestler and booker Buck Robley died on May 27, 2013 from congestive heart failure. He had been battling cancer.  He got his start in pro wrestling in 1968 and also became a key figure behind the scenes.  Robley was a booker in the Mid South promotion.

“I created a lot of people that you see out there today,” Robley bragged not that long ago. “The Freedbirds are my creation. Bruiser Brody was my creation. [Ted] DiBiase, I helped his career. A lot of people don’t know that. They thought I was just a big, ol’ dumb rassler.’

On behalf of the CAC, we extend our sympathies to his family during this sad time.
