Bret Hart Autobiography
by Bob Leonard

For as long as I can remember, my world was filled with liars and bullshitters, losers and pretenders, but I also saw the good side of pro wrestling. To me there is something bordering on beautiful about a brotherhood of big tough men who pretended to hurt one another for a living instead of actually doing it. Any idiot can hurt someone.

From Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling

The words are often pungent, and they jump right off the pages of Bret Hart’s highly-anticipated autobiography, released in his home country on October 17, 2007 by Random House Canada.

Bret celebrated the release of the book among family and friends at a launch reception held at McNally Robinson Booksellers in his hometown of Calgary, following an entire day of media events marking the occasion.

Limited reviews in front of the public at this point make it plain that the book should be a best-seller on the Canadian market.  Given Bret’s many appearances in rings around the world over his long career, it should also quickly become a very hot item on the international market.

While this edition of “Hitman” is a Canadian release only, it’s scheduled for U.S. release in 2008.  The book can be purchased through the internet now, though, from sellers such as Highspots, Slam!Wrestling, Amazon.ca and others.
