Don Fraser’s Legacy & California Boxing Hall of Fame Class of 2018

Bill Dempsey Young & myself, Linda Dempsey Young have been with Don Fraser for many years since the Spaghetti Factory in Hollywood. We helped Don with his first program for California Boxing Hall of Fame. CBHOF was established from the Golden State Boxer’s Association which was established from the Cauliflower Alley Club.

We have a Cauliflower Alley Club Newspaper Booklet dated April, 1996. Don Fraser and his wife, Ruth are pictured in the issue. Art Abrams was the editor-publisher. It was so wonderful to see the Cauliflower Alley Club still in existence!

Attached is Don Fraser picture & info including the flyer for the event. It will be held in October 20th, 2018 at the Sportsmen’s Lodge which ironically was the setting for Cauliflower Alley Club in April of 1996! Don Fraser is very sharp and his memory is stunning! At the age of 93 it is getting more difficult for him and he decided to retire from his California Boxing Hall of Fame.

We started the National Boxing Hall of Fame – 2015 and Don Fraser was our first inductee. We developed NBHOF due to World Boxing Hall of Fame ending. It was very sad to see WBHOF end as it was an amazing Hall of Fame. Our website has the front page for California Boxing Hall of Fame event. We will have some wonderful guests and Champions in attendance!
