OMG Thank you for this interview with Nicholas Warren Bockwinkel. We ladies came to the CAC Reunion a few years ago in Las Vegas to surprise our beloved friend Nick. And I can say he was truly surprised to see we four. He even introduced us when he began his speech. Why? We were Nick’s 1st fan club started here in Omaha NE. That was a long time ago and to tell you what we heard from a table of young wrestlers was a comment, “Are they still alive”? We stood up and we got a standing ovation and looked at the fellas and said, “You better believe it”? We approached Nick at what was then the Rosenblatt Baseball Stadium, and asked Nick if we could be his fan club. He said sure, what is a fan club and what will you do? He was our greatest mentor being the older guy at 27 years of age and we were all of 16. He was always the greatest gentleman and was so kind to spend time with us as we promoted him during his early career in this part of the country. We just came across this interview and what a wonderful joy it brought to us to hear his voice once again. We have lost contact with Nick over the past few years and if anyone you know that could relay a message to Nick that his devoted 1st fan club wishes to send him a hello from Omaha, NE we would be so happy. We always wonder from time to time how he and his family are doing. Congratulations on keeping communications going. As always remembering Nick “The Phantom” Bockwinkel and other AKA’s he has been. Thanks again Judy Jackwin Ederer, Karen Benis Zieg, Beverly Hug, and Pat Washburn Marchese now enjoying our 70’s in our lives. God Bless you all.
