Matt Osborne, the original Doink the Clown, passes away

Matt Osborne, better known as Matt Borne and the original Doink the Clown in the WWF, has passed away. Details on his passing are still developing. PWInsider.com can confirmed Osbourne was found dead yesterday by his girlfriend in Texas, where he had been staying of late.  Osbourne would have turned 57 next month.

On behalf of the entire Cauliflower Alley Club we extend condolences to the friends and family of Matt Osbourne during this difficult time.

  1. As a long time wrestling fan, I followed Matt Bourne’s career long before he adopted the persona of Doink the Clown, beginning with his stints in WCCW and WCW. He was an extremely tough competitor, and a great worker. My condolences to the family and friends of Matt Bourne.

  2. Just an FYI, Matt would have turned 56 this year. I , having been a long time friend of his would like the author to correct the spelling of Matt’s name…Matt “Borne” Osborne.

    Today, Saturday July 13 from 2-6pm at Oak Grove Bar and Grill 2099 SE Oak Grove Blvd in Oak Grove, OR will be a Memorial of Matt’s life. His sister Toni Rae is organizing one last opportunity to say your final goodbyes and pay last respects in a celebration of Matt’s life.
